An organization needed to assess whether an AI-driven video management platform could deliver scalable, monetizable value in a market dominated by established VMS and RVMS players. The objective was to understand high-impact use cases, willingness to pay for agentic AI, and realistic competitive positioning across core industries.

OUR APPROACH

In collaboration with NewtonX, we surveyed 106 video system decision-makers across core ICP industries in the US and Canada, evaluating agentic use cases, willingness to pay, adoption drivers, system architecture preferences, and Spot AI’s performance relative to leading competitors.

THE INSIGHT

Demand for video AI is strong but highly ROI-driven, with adoption accelerating when agentic solutions automate manual workflow such as incident detection and reporting. While some brands performs strongly once evaluated, lower brand awareness limits inclusion in early consideration, allowing incumbents to retain advantage through switching inertia and enterprise trust.

THE IMPACT

The research validated the end client’s strategic direction and identified manufacturing and operational environments as the strongest near-term opportunities. It clarified that the primary constraint to scale is awareness and enterprise credibility rather than product capability, enabling the client to make informed investment, go-to-market, and valuation decisions.
