Super Awesome
Purchase influencer tracker (COLT & PES)
challenge
Super Awesome wanted to understand what influences kids’ purchase decisions, why they spend on specific categories, and the actions they take after seeing an advertisement for a particular product It aimed to run a tracker study to identify any emerging patterns.
OUR APPROACH
We stepped in as the key personnel for running the analysis. We developed a dashboard to help the team analyze the data, interpret the results, and use it for their research and insights. The dashboard was updated with each wave to compare results with previous ones and identify any emerging patterns.
THE INSIGHT
Kids' purchasing decisions vary based on their age. Younger children often need parental assistance when buying items like clothes and toys, whereas parents tend to support teenagers more with gaming-related purchases. Additionally, their demand for products such as toys, clothing, and snacks is significantly influenced by the advertisements they see.
THE IMPACT
Understanding how kids' purchasing decisions are influenced by age and advertisements enables brands to create targeted campaigns that resonate with different age groups. It also helps companies identify which categories (toys, clothing, snacks, gaming, etc.) to focus on for each demographic, leading to more efficient ad spending. Additionally, the dashboard enables continuous tracking of trends, allowing the company to stay responsive to changing consumer behavior over time.
